1919-2019 Lessons from the Winnipeg General Strike: Community Responses to Austerity – The fight against Ford and Beyond

This community event will examine the historically significant Winnipeg General Strike of 1919, and its relevance for our struggles today.
Fellow students, workers, Indigenous People, parents, receivers of
health care and community members of all stripes are invited to join us for some historical lessons in effective resistance, from 1919 and the fight against Mike Harris. We will strategize together around how to resist Doug Ford and the other forces of neoliberalism and
Austerity today.
Local organizations involved in struggles for justice are encouraged
to contact us for tabling opportunities at HistoryofResistanceYGK@gmail.com
