WHEN: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19TH @ 12PM-6PM
Experience a closer look at Canada’s Chemical Valley! Behold one of the oldest and most toxic petrochemical industries on Turtle Island! Come witness firsthand Chemical Valley’s devastation of Anishinaabek Territory, located near Sarnia, Ontario, one of the growing number of Canadian cities to recently declare a climate emergency! Climate crisis is now! This is your chance to visit the birthplace of Canada’s obsession with oil and home of environmental racism that hosts 40% of Canada’s petrochemical industry!
Aamjiwnaang & Sarnia Against Pipelines is a grassroots group led by siblings Vanessa and Beze Gray. ASAP has hosted several Toxic Tours over the past few years to bring awareness to the health and environmental injustice in Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
“We are asking for you to experience for one day what many of us experience our whole lives. Come and see the amount of aging petrochemical plants surrounding Aamjiwnaang First Nation. Witness the pollution with your own eyes, ears, noses, and feel what it has done to our land and our people.”
Vanessa Gray, ASAP
